Embedded authoritative DNS

lattice-dns serves SOA, static records, and lease-derived A/AAAA.

Binary: lattice-dns. Adapter name in IPAM: embedded.

Embedded DNS zones

  1. Run lattice-dns (compose profile or systemd).
  2. In the console, DNS servers → adapter embedded.
  3. DNS (/dns): create a zone (SOA), add static records if you need them.
  4. On each subnet, enable DDNS with adapter embedded and set forward/reverse zones.

Lease-derived A/AAAA appear after Ack, via the outbox. Static records you enter on /dns are not DHCP.

This is optional. Most utilities keep BIND or AD and never run lattice-dns.
